About the indicator

The probability of dying before the age of five, expressed as the number of deaths per 1,000 live births. The main target indicator of UN Sustainable Development Goal 3.2 — to bring it down to 25 per 1,000 by 2030. The gap between countries remains more than twentyfold, while over the past thirty years the world value has more than halved.
